Helloboard Terms of Service

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of the Helloboard website (the "Site") and all related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Helloboard ("Company"). These Terms set forth the conditions for using the Service, procedures, and other necessary matters between the Company and its members ("Members").

Article 2. Notification and Revision of Terms

1. The Company shall post the contents of these Terms, company name, location of the head office, name of the representative, business registration number, contact information, and other necessary information on the initial service screen or notify Members through other methods for easy recognition. However, the contents of the Terms may be made available to Members through a linked screen.

2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendments do not violate relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Telecommunications Basic Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and the Personal Information Protection Act.

3. When the Company amends these Terms, it shall specify the effective date and reasons for the amendment and post the current Terms along with the amended Terms on the Service page from 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date. However, if the amendment significantly affects Members' rights or obligations, the Company shall provide notice 30 days prior to the effective date.

4. Members have the right to refuse the amended Terms. Members may express their refusal within 15 days from the date the amended Terms are posted. If a Member refuses the amended Terms, the Company may terminate the agreement with the Member after providing prior notice and setting a 15-day period. If a Member does not express their refusal or continues to use the Service after the effective date, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 3. Definition of Terms

The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:

1. "Site" refers to the virtual business place or website, mobile web, app, etc., operated by the Company to provide the Service to Members, where Members can receive services using a single integrated account (ID and password) through the following sites:

  • - Helloboard website (helloboard.co.kr)
  • - Helloboard mobile application

2. "Member" refers to a person who has agreed to these Terms, completed the membership registration process, and been granted a user ID and password by the Company.

3. "User ID" (hereinafter referred to as "ID") refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by the Member and approved by the Company for Member identification and Service use.

4. "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers set by the Member to verify the identity of the Member and protect the Member's information.

5. "Paid Service" refers to services provided by the Company for a fee, separate from the free services.

Article 4. Conclusion of the Service Agreement

1. The Service agreement is concluded when a person who wishes to become a Member ("Applicant") agrees to these Terms and applies for membership, and the Company approves such application.

2. The Applicant must provide all information requested by the Company in the membership application form.

3. The Company may withhold approval if there is no room in the Service facilities, if there are technical difficulties, or for other reasons deemed necessary by the Company.

Article 5. Protection and Use of Personal Information

1. The Company shall make efforts to protect Members' personal information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Act.

2. The Company shall not use or provide personal information to third parties beyond the scope specified in the Privacy Policy without the Member's consent.

3. The Company may entrust the processing of personal information to a third party to the extent necessary to provide the Service. In such cases, the Company shall notify Members of the details of the entrustment through the Privacy Policy.

Article 6. Approval and Restriction of Membership Applications

1. The Company shall approve membership applications in the order of receipt, unless there is a justifiable reason to refuse approval.

2. The Company may withhold or refuse approval in the following cases:

  • a. If the Applicant has previously lost membership status under these Terms
  • b. If false information is provided or essential information is omitted in the application
  • c. If the application is made for the purpose of disrupting social order or good morals
  • d. If the application is made for the purpose of harming others
  • e. If the application falls under other restrictions set by the Company

Article 7. Service Fees and Payment

1. The Company may provide both free and paid Services. The scope and details of paid Services shall be separately determined and announced by the Company.

2. Fees for paid Services shall be as specified on the Service screen or as otherwise notified by the Company. The Company may change the fees for paid Services by notifying Members in advance as stipulated in these Terms.

3. The Company may provide a free trial period for paid Services. The duration and conditions of the free trial period shall be determined by the Company and notified to Members in advance.

Article 8. Personal Information Processing Entrustment

1. The Company may entrust the processing of personal information to a third party to the extent necessary to provide the Service. In such cases, the Company shall notify Members of the details of the entrustment through the Privacy Policy.

2. The Company shall take necessary measures to ensure that the entrusted party safely processes personal information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Article 9. Member Accounts and Passwords

1. Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information, including their ID and password.

2. Members shall be responsible for all activities that occur under their account. If a Member becomes aware of any unauthorized use of their account, they shall immediately notify the Company.

3. The Company shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from a Member's failure to maintain the security of their account information.

Article 10. Service Content

1. The Company provides the following services:

  • a. Onboarding process management service
  • b. Member information management service
  • c. Other services that the Company may provide from time to time

2. The Company may add, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at its sole discretion.

Article 11. Service Modifications

1. The Company may change the content of the Service at any time without prior notice to Members.

2. If the Company makes significant changes to the Service that may affect Members, the Company will notify Members in advance through the Service or by email.

Article 12. Service Suspension and Restrictions

1. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, inspection, replacement, or breakdown of information and communication facilities such as computers.

2. The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:

  • a. In case of a national emergency, power outage, equipment failure, or other unavoidable circumstances
  • b. In case of service use congestion or maintenance of service facilities
  • c. In case of other unavoidable circumstances that make it difficult to provide normal service

Article 13. Paid Services

1. Paid Services are provided on a subscription basis. The subscription period and fees shall be as specified on the Service screen or as otherwise notified by the Company.

2. The subscription fee for paid Services shall be paid in advance. The subscription period shall start from the date of payment.

3. The Company may offer a free trial period for paid Services. The duration and conditions of the free trial period shall be determined by the Company and notified to Members in advance.

Article 14. Withdrawal of Subscription and Refund

1. A Member may request cancellation of payment (withdrawal of subscription) in the following cases:

  • a. If the Service has not been used after subscription
  • b. If the Service cannot be used due to reasons attributable to the Company
  • c. If the Service is significantly different from the advertised or announced content

2. Refunds for paid Services shall be made in accordance with the Company's refund policy.

Article 15. Adjustment of Overpaid Fees

1. If an overpayment occurs due to reasons attributable to the Company, the full amount of the overpayment shall be refunded.

2. If an overpayment occurs due to reasons attributable to the Member, the Company may deduct reasonable expenses incurred in processing the refund from the overpaid amount.

Article 16. Company's Obligations

1. The Company shall not engage in any acts prohibited by these Terms, relevant laws and regulations, or contrary to good morals, and shall make its best efforts to provide a stable and continuous Service.

2. The Company shall establish a security system to protect personal information, including credit information, to ensure that Members can use the Service safely, and shall comply with the Privacy Policy.

3. The Company shall promptly process opinions or complaints raised by Members within a reasonable period if they are objectively recognized as justified.

Article 17. Member's Obligations

1. Members shall not use the Service for purposes other than its intended purpose or engage in any of the following acts:

  • a. Registering false information or another person's information
  • b. Submitting forged or falsified documents
  • c. Using information obtained through the Service for purposes other than onboarding
  • d. Using the Service for purposes other than the intended purpose notified by the Company
  • e. Repeatedly making and canceling payments for paid services without justifiable reason
  • f. Impersonating another person or falsely representing a relationship with another person
  • g. Using another person's name, information, account, or password without authorization
  • h. Exploiting known or unknown bugs in the Service
  • i. Infringing on the reputation or rights of the Company or third parties
  • j. Collecting, storing, or distributing personal information of other Members without authorization

2. Members shall check the notices and amendments to these Terms on the Site and comply with them.

3. Members shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and shall not allow any third party to use their account.

Article 18. Limitation of Liability

1. The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Members in relation to the use of the Service, unless such damages are caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

2. The Company shall not be liable for any transactions between Members or between Members and third parties conducted through the Service.

3. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or truthfulness of any information provided by Members, and Members shall verify the accuracy and truthfulness of such information themselves.

Article 19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.

2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

Article 20. Damage Compensation

1. If the Company causes damage to a Member due to the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence in relation to the provision of paid Services, the Company shall be liable for compensating such damage.

2. If a Member violates these Terms and causes damage to the Company, the Member shall compensate the Company for such damage.

Article 21. Notification Method

1. The Company may notify Members of matters concerning these Terms by posting on the Service screen, email, or other electronic means.

2. Notices sent to the contact information provided by the Member shall be deemed to have been received by the Member at the time of transmission.

Article 22. No Assignment

1. Members may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without the prior written consent of the Company.

Article 23. Severability

1. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Article 24. No Waiver

1. The failure of the Company to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

Article 25. Entire Agreement

1. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Member regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

Article 26. Language

1. These Terms are prepared in Korean and English. In case of any discrepancy between the Korean and English versions, the Korean version shall prevail.
